Kabuto Okuzawa is a New York-based hairstylist. Born and raised in Tokyo, Japan, Okuzawa moved to New York in 2012 to expand his career and worked under Bob Recine for Seven years. During that time, Okuzawa fine-tuned his technique and earned a reputation of his own for his expertise with wigs and headpieces. Since branching out independently, Okuzawa has been published in titles such as Vogue (Italia, Thailand, Korea, Hong Kong), Harper’s Bazaar, Elle, V Magazine, Interview, System, Document Journal, Russh, Office, Schön, Paper, and King Kong. He has worked with photographers such as Roe Ethridge, Alex Lockett, Peter Ash Lee, and Michael James Fox, in addition to brands including Telfar, Thom Brown, Tommy Hilfiger, Chanel, Tiffany & Co, Ulla Johnson, Rachel Comey, Brother Vellies, Jordan Askill, Asos, and countless others.
